He was predeceased by: his parents, Finley T. Thackery and Mary Thackery (Lavak); and his siblings, Jewell Hooker, Rosemary Alloway and Russell Thackery (Navy).
He is survived by: his wife Alma I. Bunker; his sons, Greg Thackery (Dora) and Doug Thackery (Lisa); his grandchildren, Kristen Russell (Derik) and Sam Thackery; and his great grandchild Harrison Russell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
