He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick C. Grothe and Delora Grothe (Flemming); his sister Janet Fillman; and his brother-in-law Charles Fillman. He is survived by: his wife Jeannine A. McElhaney; his children, Tracy Grimm (Robert), Fritz Grothe (Sarah Miller) and Jennifer Sanders (Brian); and his pets, Bogey, Rusty and Freckles. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
