She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Benitz and Minnie Benitz (Risner); and her siblings, Harold Benitz, Kenneth Benitz, Opal Herpel and Virginia Laurence.
She is survived by: her husband Russell Pettijohn; her sons, Jeff Pettijohn (Robin) of Country Club and Brad Pettijohn (Greta) of Overland Park; and her sister Roberta Lange of Omaha. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Mosaic Hospice, or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
