He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Calhoun and Eula Calhoun; and his wife Peggy Elliott. He is survived by: his daughter Suzan Jarrett (Jim); his stepchildren, Debbie Tanner (Kenny), Margie Long (Louis) and John Paul Jr. Elliott (Nikki); his grandson Nathaniel Jarrett (Alyssa); and his stepgrandchildren, Kyle Tanner (Heather), Amy Marriott (Jimmy), Hannah Elliott, John Eric Shepard (Tracie), Justin Shepard and Jared Shepard (Rose). He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, 15 step great grandchildren and 5 step great great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory (5005 Frederick Ave Suite A, St Joseph, MO 64506). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
