She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Soptick and Susan Soptick (Balko); and her husband Walter F. Karkoski. She is survived by: her son Roger P. Kirk of Memphis, Tennessee; her nieces, Irene Giannetta of St. Joseph and Carol Slaybaugh-Carraway of Mesa, AZ; and her nephew Don Hager. She is also survived by numerous extended family members, and friends.
