With sadness, we share the passing of Jacqueline S. Comella of Saint Joseph, Missouri. Jacqueline, born on March 26, 1941, passed away on October 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip L. Jones and Bernice L. Jones (Froeschle); and her husband Michael A. Comella. She is survived by: her children, Susan Welch (Paul) and Anthony Comella (Mary Beth); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Comella, Michael Comella, Emily Welch, Abigail Welch and Alexa Welch; and her brother D. Michael Jones (Corrinne). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A rosary was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory (5005 Frederick Ave, Suite A, St Joseph, MO 64506). Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (2618 Seneca St, St Joseph, MO 64507).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Francis Xavier Church.
