He was predeceased by: his parents, Donna Ferris and James Ferris; his son Brandon Walker; and his siblings, Bobby Ferris and Sharon Goodpasture.

He is survived by: his children, Kyle Ferris and Asha Ferris of St. Joseph; the mother of his children Tammy Ferris of Atchison, KS; and his siblings, Roger, Donnie Ferris, Debbie Smith and Summer Lane. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.

Memorials are requested to the James Ferris Memorial Fund, c/o Rupp Funeral Home.
