He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Hambelton and Genevieve Kieffer; and his grandparents, Everett Archibald and Ona Mae Kieffer. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Sue Hall; his children, Connie Bernice Mayfield (Cody), James Everett Kieffer Jr. (Gary) and Michel Ann Kaiser (Mike); his grandchildren, Joseph Mayfield (Christy), Rachel White (Mark), Thomas Mayfield, Quinton Kaiser and Dalton Kaiser; his great grandchildren, Cecilia Mayfield and Silas White; and his pet Sunnie.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Huffman Methodist Church (2802 Renick St, St Joseph, MO 64507). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (5005 Frederick Ave, St Joseph, MO 64506).
