She was predeceased by: her father Harley Conklin; her husband Earnest Scharnhorst; her son Earnest James Scharnhorst; and her brothers, Elmer and Harley Conklin.

She is survived by: her children, Terry Mayden and Randy Scharnhorst. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.
