She was predeceased by: her father Jesse Slavens; her brother Norman Slavens; and her son George Abbott. She is survived by: her mother Darline Yelenick; her husband Phillip G. Abbott; her children, Michael Abbott, Jennifer Abbott and Chantel Pekarcik; her grandchildren, Alex, David, Alexandria, Zachary, Madi, Nathan, Riley, Graylon Abbott, Chris and Leah Pekarcik; and her siblings, J. C. Slavens and Nancey Parsons.
