It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Arnold Gondring (Saint Joseph, Missouri), who passed away on July 11, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Arnold Gondring to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Gondring, Jr. and Wilamina Ostwald Gondring. He is survived by: his wife Maggie; his children, Katy (Mark) and Jack (Sarah); his grandson Benjamin; and his brothers, William H. Gondring, III and Robert P. Gondring (Charlene). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st St., Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.

“For over some 50 years, Captain Gondring and I have been friends. Mostly at a distance, we have somehow stayed in touch. Since the 11th I have had some difficulty turning off many memories of John, especially humorous ones that occurred before Maggie and Karla came into our lives, and many years since. I treasure those memorable times that make me smile which I know would make John smile as well. May the Lord watch over our friend and his family. L R”
