With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John William Slayton of Saint Joseph, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 23, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy John William leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though John William may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Slayton (Dobbins); his wife Marsha Gale Slayton; and his daughter Cindy Slayton. He is survived by: his daughter Margaret Elizabeth Slayton; his sister Sharon Kuharich; and his siblings-in-law, Mindy Spitzer and Kieve Pearlman.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory (5005 Frederick Ave Suite A, St Joseph, MO 64506).
