With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine W. Chellew of Saint Joseph, Missouri, who passed away on May 9, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, may Katherine find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.

She was predeceased by : her husband William Chellew (Bill); her son Harold L. Chellew; and her mother Nora Schottel (Jahnke). She is survived by : her daughters, Barbara Adams (Dennis) and Brenda Dean. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel (3609 Frederick Ave, St Joseph, MO 64506). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contibutions to Shriners Hospital for Children or Second Harvest.
