He was predeceased by: his parents, Lottie Barnard and Lawrence Barnard. He is survived by: his sons, Darrin Barnard (Jamie) and Aaron Barnard; his grandchildren, Jake and Lauren; and his siblings, Jerry Barnard, Judy Harris (Keith), Janet Barnard and Jeannie Peckman (Aaron). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
