With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leilah Monroe Cox (Saint Joseph, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her cousin Omari Mcrelly; and her great-grandparents, Gary Stufflebean, Ernest Williams, Denise Cannon, Marchell Marshall and Gerald Marshall.
She is survived by: her parents, Chase Cox and Blakely Wertin; her brother Karson Moore; her grandparents, Brook Stufflebean, Patrick Wertin II (Melissa), Scott Uehlin, Darcie Williams and Matt Cox (Tosha); her great-grandparents, Patrick, Darla Wertin, Linda Fabiani, Rocky Hatfield, Richard Amos, Karen Williams, Pat and Chris Leontos; her great-great-grandparent Aggie Wertin; and her aunts and uncles, Monroe Wertin, Banks Wertin, Krew Wertin, Pierce Leontos, Madison Cannon, Haley Cannon and Erin Wood. She is also survived by numerous cousins and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory (5005 Frederick Ave Suite A, St Joseph, MO 64506). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
