She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy DeSpain and Elzy DeSpain; her husbands, James A. Nolan, Byron L. Brown and Homer David Smith; her daughter Dixie Jean Nolan; and her siblings, Donnie, Lonnie, Ronnie, Frances DeSpain, Elsie Smith, Beverly Wolfe and Linda Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Cain, Jeanie Brown (Byron, Jr.), Jonie Sue Nolan, Kristy Clifford, Janice Brown, James Nolan Jr. (Rachel), Jerry Brown and John D. Brown; and her stepchildren, Diana Proctor (Charlie) and Carl Smith (Kathy).
Memorials are requested to the Marilyn Smith memorial fund in care of the Rupp Funeral Home.
