It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene Nelson-Gibson (Saint Joseph, Missouri), who passed away on May 17, 2026, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey F. Nelson and Virginia Ahlgren Nelson; and her brother Gary Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Paul Gibson (Lexi) and Kara Joy Beacom (Joe); her grandchildren, Noah, Bentlie, Hailee, Summer, Aubri, Silas and Nora; and her sisters, Trudy Howles (Doug), Suzanne Clark (Frank), Ruth and Esther.
In lieu of flowers, potted plants may be sent on her behalf to Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel so her memory can live on in the home she loved or memorials directed to Luminous Hospice for the wonderful care she provided in her last months.
