He was predeceased by: his father Herbert L. Ritchie; and his uncle Lee Roy Ritchie. He is survived by: his mother Betty L. Ritchie (Sauter); his wife Karen G. Ashford; his children, Adam Ritchie, Christopher Ritchie (Brenda Anderson Ritchie) and Allyson Ritchie; his grandchildren, Kade, Kanyon, Austyn, Aspen, Easton Ritchie and Madison Courter; and his sisters, Mary Jackson (Larry), Susan Williams (Art), Sharon Kowalewycz (Jimmy) and Rita Osborn (Greg). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory (5005 Frederick Ave, Suite A, St Joseph, MO 64506). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
