With solemn reverence, we commemorate Rae Ann Gilmore of Saint Joseph, Missouri, born in Kansas City, Missouri, whose life came to an end on July 7, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving behind cherished memories. As we bid adieu to Rae Ann's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Rae Ann has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hester and Florence Hester (Bennett); her brothers, Robert and Michael Hester; and her daughter-in-law Linda Gilmore.
She is survived by: her children, Chuck (Judy), Steave, Mike (Rita), Rick Gilmore and Christina DePriest (Don); and her sister Judy Jenkins. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (7 N Carriage Dr, St Joseph, MO 64506-1230).
