Richard Chester Longstein Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on November 4, 2025, at the age of 83, Richard Chester Longstein of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Longstein and Margaret Longstein (Soll); his brother-in-law Gary Frost; and his former wife Karen Longstein. He is survived by: his wife Lennice Rediger Burkey; his children, Brenna Sears (Todd), Chad Longstein (Kathleen), Daniel Longstein (Jenny), Bruce Burkey (Barb) and Anita Spencer (Steve); his grandchildren, Joey, Jack Sears, Josh, Hannah, Tyler Longstein, Emma, Harper Longstein, Tara Burkey, Travis Burkey (Staci), Amanda (Mehrdad) and Joel Spencer; his great grandchildren, Faye, Lylah and Cali; and his siblings, Cleone Frost and Gary Longstein (Susan). He is also survived by family members and friends.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the First Responders Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
