He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford C. Cummings and Elinor M. Cummings (Brock); and his brother Charles Cummings. He is survived by: his siblings, Susan Hurst and Steve Cummings (Teri); his sister-in-law Darleen Cummings; and his nieces and nephews, Lindsey Welsch (Scott), Jana Vastine (Joe), Carla Owens, Amy Roper (Mike), Megan Clisbee (Luke), Brock Cummings (Catherine) and Bryce Hurst (Laura).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to United Cerebral Palsy of St. Joseph.
