He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. Pumphrey and Nellie Pumphrey (Hudson). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn A. Mix; his children, John Robert Pumphrey and Annette Pumphrey Deering; his grandchildren, Jack Hudson Pumphrey, Joseph Benjamin Pumphrey, Weston Shawn Deering and Lindsey Elizabeth Deering; and his cousin Billie Pumphrey of Tucson, Arizona. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Ashland United Methodist Church or Shriners Hospital for Children.
