He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Joseph Shalz and Esther Shalz (Dyer); his wife Velma A. Snodgrass; his son Tim Shalz; his son-in-law Raymond Atha; his great grandchild Tess Marie Atha; his siblings, Joan Williams and Lester Shalz; and his close friend Patricia Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ott (Gary), Patti Atha, Robin Eliot (Mark), Bobby Shalz (Robin) and Teresa McClain (Tom); and his granddaughter Susie Smith Galvan. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren.
In keeping with his wishes, memorials may be made to your charity of choice, St. Francis Xavier, The House of Bread, through the offering of Masses, or by praying the rosary.
