He was predeceased by: his parents, Sharron Griggs and Gerald Griggs; and his brothers, Rex Sr., Randy, Bobby and Roy Griggs.
He is survived by: his children, Cecily of St. Joseph, Roger Jr. of St. Joseph and Dakota Griggs of St. Joseph; his siblings, Russell Griggs (Phyllis) of Marshall, MO, Rodney Griggs (Tracey) of St. Joseph, Rendell "Howdy" Griggs (Teresa) of St. Joseph and Kimberly Powell (David) of St Joseph; and his grandchildren, Gianna and Malek. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
