He was predeceased by: his parents, Lila L. Blakley (Scroggins) and James Oliver Blakley; and his brother Donald L. Blakley. He is survived by: his wife Leslie Blakley (Thompson); his children, Brian J. Blakley of Rushville, MO and Jennifer A. Brown (Brian) of St. Joseph, Missouri; his grandsons, Tyler Brown, Bryson Brown and Colton Blakley; and his siblings, Kathy Whisenand (Larry) and Robert Blakley (Connie) of St. Joseph, Missouri. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the Freudenthal Center for Parkinson's Disease.
