We are sad to announce that, on April 27, 2026, at the age of 89, Ronald William Ritenour of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Ritenour and Mabel Ritenour (Huffman); his wife Ruth Sherer; his sister Gail Young; his son Michael Ritenour; and his stepdaughter Linda Starks.
He is survived by: his sister Joy Tomchik; his children, Mark Ritenour (Jill), Susan Byergo (Joe) and Rebecca McCorkendale; his grandchildren, Tyler Ritenour (Kelly), Trevar Ritenour, Brandon McCorkendale (Lexus), Jamie Byergo and Truman Byergo (Elizabeth); his great grandchildren, Ethan Ritenour and Evan Ritenour; his grandson Ronald Starks; his stepgrandchildren, Jason Starks (Tracy), Ellen Starks, Jessica Sweete and Diane Sweete; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Alexis Starks and Katressa Starks.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to First Baptist Church, St. Joseph.
