With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy Lee Thornton of Saint Joseph, Missouri, born in Highland, Kansas, who passed away on November 22, 2021 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, David and Martha Thornton, Sr. (Ackerson); and his siblings, Alice Cheek, Mary Ann Weir and David Thornton, Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Dianna Beck (Shane) of Derby and Roy Thornton, Jr. of St. Joseph; and his brother Paul Thornton of Horton. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
