She was predeceased by: her parents, William LeRoy Burgess and Velma Mae Burgess (Taylor); her son William Burris Russell II; her sister Dolores Burgess; and her grandmother LuLa Mae Taylor.

She is survived by: her significant other Bill; her children, Baby Bill, Kelli Elizabeth Garton (Travis), Jeremy Sean Russell and Rebecca Ann Russell; her grandchildren, Taylor Layne Peters (Trevor) and Travis Len Garton Jr.; her great grandchild Briar Kay Peters; and her siblings, Willie Burgess, George Burgess (Brenda), Mike Burgess (DeLonna), Peggy Caples and Karen Chapman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, friends.

“I'm truely sorry for your loss, it's alost to me also. I've been to busy with life that I didn't realize my Aunt Sharons funeral was Monday or I would have been there. About a week before my Aunt Sharon passed away, I talked to her and Rebecca at imperials gas station. Aunt Sharon said my mom would be proud of me, that I'm looking pretty healthy and I'm doing good. I gave her a hug bye. Those words ment alot to me.May my Aunt Sharon rest in peace along with my mom.”
