She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Wheeler and Ethyl Wheeler; her daughter Vickie Ellis; and her sister Beverly Dietderich (Dick). She is survived by: her spouse Coy B. Simmons, Jr.; her daughter Connie Kay Elder (Dallas); her grandchildren, Staci Elder, Anna Teale (Adam) and Nathan Elder; her great grandchildren, Kaia Teale Patton (Zach) and Kason Teale; her great great grandchild Marlow Patton; her sister Betty Kepley; and her nieces and nephews, Lori Boyer (Dan), Nichole Brahms Bruley, Rick Dietderich (Kelly), Cherie Arnone and Jeff Kepley.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel (3609 Frederick Ave, St Joseph, MO 64506).
