She was predeceased by: her parents, George Sauter and Martha Sauter (Dickinson); her husbands, John W. Hocking and Henry Gabriel; and her siblings, JoAnn Devore, Robert Sauter, Donald Sauter and Carol Bosier.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Croner (Mike) and Michael Hocking (Carmen); her grandchildren, Molly Richards (Brandon), Nathan Croner (Ally), Blake Hocking (Daniela), Ashley Golledge (Caelan) and Nicholas Hocking; her great grandchild Madelyn Richards; and her siblings, Nancy Harris, Ralph Sauter and Arthur Sauter. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory (5005 Frederick Ave Suite A, St Joseph, MO 64506). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
