He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Seufert Jr. Stephen and Mary Joann Seufert (Schellhorn); his stepmother Judith Seufert; and his siblings, Mariella Seufert, Paula Schermerhorn and Nicholas Seufert.

He is survived by: his wife Melinda Seufert; his son Tim Seufert of St. Joseph; his siblings, Matthew Seufert (Kathy) of St. Joseph, John Seufert (Kathy) of El Paso, TX, Herman Seufert III (Joaquina) of El Paso, TX, Noelle Hicks (Ben) of Prairie Village, KS and Veronica Saxena (Crash) of Charlotte, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Gary Schermerhorn of St. Joseph and Katherine Seufert of St. Joseph. He is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
