He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Swanson and Vivian Mary Swanson (Colleen (Cook) Swanson). He is survived by: his children, Lindsee Steiner (Steve) of Saint Joseph, MO and Joshua Swanson (Katie) of Otsego, MN; his aunt Norma Jean Libby (Megan Stickley) of St. Joseph, MO; his cousin Gary Swanson (Willa) of St. Joseph, MO; and his grandchildren, Ethan, Collin, Lukus, Brandon, Lauren and Aksel.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rupp Funeral Home (6054 Pryor Ave, St Joseph, MO 64504). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Sparta Cemetery (6889 MO-14, Sparta, MO 65753).
Memorials are requested to the Sparta United Methodist Church.
