He is survived by: his parents, Kjeld Hvatum and Margaret Hvatum; his brothers, Erik and Tor Hvatum (family: Ping Hu); his nieces, Ava and Faye Hu-Hvatum; and his spouse Ping Hu. He is also survived by his uncles, aunts, and cousins.
At the end of his life, when it was clear that he would not recover, Andrew donated his organs for transplant, and saved three lives with donations of his heart and kidneys.
