She was predeceased by: her parents, Leland Edgar and Pearline Bowers-Shoemate; and her husbands, John "Jack" Gettinger and Paul G. Barnard. She is survived by: her children, Cheri A. Barnard, Paul B. Barnard (Judy), Cynthia A. Neely, James G. Gettinger (Sharan Sklar) and Karen E. Meadows (Scott); and her grandchildren, Lindsay Brown, Sean Brown, Elizabeth Barnard, Liam Neely and Hannah Rose Gettinger. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
