It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anne Helen (Wehrstein) McMullen (Saint Louis, Missouri), Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at the age of 99.
Beloved wife of the late Robert J. McMullen (Sam); daughter of late Eva and Peter Wehrstein; dear mother of Bob (Vicki) McMullen, David McMullen, Joann (Matt) Biehl; dear grandmother of 8, great-grandmother of 10. Dear sister of the late Rose Gavin, Barbara Wehrstein, Peter Wehrstein, Catherine (Dolly) Kling, Anne’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was known for her kindness and generosity. Her home was a welcoming place for everyone. She spent many years enjoying her work at the Kirkwood YMCA and volunteering at St. Joseph (now St. Clare) hospital. A celebration of life will be held in the near future. Details to follow. Mass intentions will be held at Saint Peter Catholic Church in Kirkwood, MO on Saturday, February 8 at 8:15 am, Sunday, February 16 at 5:00 pm and Monday, March 3 at 8:15 am.
