He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Ehlers and Gertrude Ehlers (Bright); and his daughter Karen Elaine Tharp. He is survived by: his granddaughters, Natalie McKnight (David) and Jen Niccum (Don); his great grandchildren, Anna Simminger, Liam McKnight and Chase Niccum; his great great grandchildren, Radric Ray and Isaiah Pennington; and his friends, Teresa Johnson and Caitlyn Herman.
