We announce the death of Catherine Mary Ernst (Saint Louis, Missouri), who passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 73. Catherine will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Charles and Mary Cecelia Scheidt; and her siblings, James Scheidt and Dorothy Logan. She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Wright, Jessica Weick (Zach) and Jonathan Ernst (Brianne); her grandchildren, Jacob Rivera, Madelyn Wright, Micah Ernst and Jayden Ernst; and her brothers, Charles Scheidt and Robert Scheidt.

Visitation was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jay B. Smith Funeral Home (777 Oakwood Dr, Fenton, MO 63026). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (6901 MacKenzie Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123).
