He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas O'Connor and Mary Jane O'Connor; his sister Margaret O'Connor (Peggy); and his brother-in-law Jay Meyers. He is survived by: his siblings, Sara Nelson (Joseph), Michael O'Connor (Sule), Janet Pasley (Robert), Mary Meyers, Thomas O'Connor (Cheryl) and Craighan (Elizabeth O'Connor); and his caregiver Danny. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (7456 Manchester Ave, Maplewood, MO 63143). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Jay B. Smith Maplewood Chapel (7456 Manchester Rd, Maplewood, MO 63143). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
