He was predeceased by: his stepgrandson Patrick; his brother Raymond B. Schumann; and his parents, Raymond Schumann and Mabel Schumann. He is survived by: his sons, Patrick Schumann (Beth) and Jim Schumann; his grandchildren, Caroline and Andrew Schumann; his stepdaughter Kate Wyland; his stepgrandchild Khloe; and his siblings, Jim Schumann (Donna) and Judith Hoerner. He is also survived by children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his many friends.
