She was predeceased by: her brothers, Elbert Williams (Sunny) and Ray Williams; and her grandsons, Michael Davis, Seneca Hopkins and Sean Butcher.

She is survived by: her former husband Robert L. Hopkins; her daughters, April Angela Walker Brigitte (Charles), Crystal Audrey Oriste, Danita Avis Jackson and Elke Aurora Hill; her spouse Gayle Shaw; and her siblings, Shaw, Jerri Watts, Bertha Richardson and Andre Williams. She is also survived by her five daughters, ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
