She was predeceased by : her son Michael P. Simpson; her nieces and nephews, Ronald J. Temple, Jr., Randall Temple (Lola) and J. D.; and her parents, Allan Perlmutter and Ida Perlmutter.

She is survived by : her husband Dr. Joseph R. Simpson, Sr.; her sons, Dr. Joseph R. Simpson, Jr. (Monica) of Reno, Allan Kenneth Simpson (Tiffany) and J. D. of Leawood, Kansas.; her grandchildren, Aidan, Brooke, Caroline, Elizabeth and Catherine Simpson; her siblings, Dr. Roger Perlmutter (Joan) and Rosanne Garrett (late Karl); her siblings-in-law, Juanita and J. D.; her nephew Noah; and her niece Lillian Perlmutter.

A graveside service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol Cemetery (9125 Ladue Rd, St. Louis, MO 63124).
