She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene "Gene" Smugala; her parents, Caroline Gebel and Sebastian Gebel; and her brothers, Andrew Gebel (late Margaret) and David Gebel.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon, Michael (Karen), Susan (late Bill) and Brian (Shelley). She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church (3014 Oregon Ave, St. Louis, MO 63118).
