It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frank L. Sophie Sr. (Saint Louis, Missouri), who passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Burkett and Esther Sophie. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Sophie; his children, Angie Werkmeister (Mike), Frank Sophie Jr. (Pamela), Dan Sophie (Sara), Mike Sophie (Laura) and Mark Sophie (Amy Thomas); and his grandchildren, Andrew Werkmeister, Matthew Werkmeister, Ryan Sophie, Emma Sophie, Lydia Sophie, Nick Sophie and Mia Sophie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes - South County Chapel (4830 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Shepherd Hills Cemetery (1925 Old State Rd M, Barnhart, MO 63012).
