He was predeceased by: his parents, George B. Kavanaugh, Sr. and Myrna Bower Kavanaugh; his brother Michael; his sister-in-law Jacqueline Kavanaugh; his brother Kenneth; and his sister-in-law Charlene Kavanaugh.
He is survived by: his wife Becky; his sons, Kenneth Kavanaugh (Daniel O'Toole) and Keith; his daughter-in-law Elicia Hill Kavanaugh (Lee); his grandchildren, Hannah and Jesse; his daughter Kristin; his son-in-law Martin Kilgore; and his granddaughter Chloe. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces.
