She was predeceased by: her parent Fay; her husband Elmer Ellis; and her parent G. F. Vancil. She is survived by: her son James D. Russell (Gayla B. Russell) of Brandon, FL; her granddaughter Dr. Tonya Russell (Steve Wen); her great grandchildren, Logan and Lana Wen of Creve Coeur, MO.; and her siblings, Wanda Cowen of Evanston, WY, Peggy Nicely of Centralia, IL and Gary Vancil of Mt. Vernon, IL..
Memorials may be made in Hilda's honor to the Tri-City Church of Christ in Central City, IL or Schultz-Lewis Children's Home in Valparaiso, IN.
