He was predeceased by: his wife Paula R. Deken; his siblings, Rev. John C. Deken, Ann Deken and Jude V. Deken; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Deken, Anna Miller, Rev. Dale A. Maxfield and Carla Swan.
He is survived by: his sons, Stewart Deken (Whitney), Stephen Deken (Michelle), Sean Deken (Julie) and Sebastian Deken (Brett White); his grandchildren, Justin Hiebert, Ryan Deken, Al Deken, Joanna Deken and Annalise Hastey Deken; his siblings, Joseph Deken, Jerome, Mary Fran Pereira (Grig), Jean Marie Deken, Jane Maxfield, Joan Pisoni (Michael), Janét Deken, Thomas Deken, Fran Pipitone (James), Beth Stolarski (John) and Damian Deken; and his siblings-in-law, Gerry Deken, Paul Swan (Judy), Deborah Loche and Lettie Swan.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes - South County Chapel (4830 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Assumption Catholic Church (4725 Mattis Rd, St. Louis, MO 63128). A procession will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the J. B. National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
