John Allen Mattingly Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of John Allen Mattingly (Saint Louis, Missouri) is shared. John Allen, born on August 13, 1942, passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mattingly and Beatrice Mattingly; and his siblings, Louise Barton (John), Anastasia Broderick (Albert), Frances Henning (James), Veronica Houska (Edward), Jean McCormac (John), William, Robert, James (Kathy), Thomas Jerome, Betty Jean, Janice and Sister Doris Marie Mattingly.
He is survived by: his children, Joan Mattingly (Bill Cylkowski), John Mattingly (Kathy), Margaret Kaduchak (Gregory) and Christine Mattingly; his grandchildren, David Cylkowski (Lauren Lefebvre), Destin Wintz (Chris), John, Gwen, Nick, Jillian Mattingly and Jasmine Kaduchak; his brother Mark Mattingly; and his sister-in-law Betty Mattingly. He is also survived by the children and sister of his long time companion, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hoffmeister South County Chapel (1515 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Margaret Mary Alacoque (4900 Ringer Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129). A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Resurrection Cemetery (6901 MacKenzie Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123).
