He is survived by: his wife Jayne Schmitt; his children, Christopher Schmitt, Andrew Schmitt (Kristen Schmitt) and Heidi Contrera (Mike Contrera); his grandchildren, Eloise Schmitt, Chase Contrera and Wells Schmitt; his siblings, Sue Castellani and Mike; his sister-in-law Jean Sollot; and his nieces and nephews, David Sollot, Lisa Beaudet (Nick), Lynda Slayter (Mike) and Rick Wunsch (Sheri).
