He was predeceased by: his parents, John Coughlin and Nora Coughlin; and his brother-in-law Allan A. Mueller. He is survived by: his wife Merle Ann Coughlin; his sister Mary M. Pinney (Michael); his brother-in-law Dan W. Mueller (Roseanne); his nephews, Dan Mueller (Gina), Sean Pinney (Jennifer), Paul Mueller (Susan) and Colin Pinney (Lindsey); his niece Lara Fowler (Kelly Brisson); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Patrick, Kevin, Madeleine, Brenna Pinney, Shannon Weiner (John) and Molly Wagner (Nick). He is also survived by two great-grand nieces and one great-grand nephew.
