He was predeceased by: his siblings, Roderick, Ronald, Donald and Judith. He is survived by: his daughter Jill Laxen; his grandchildren, Decker and Riley of Minneapolis; and his sisters, Mary Ann Laxen and Janice Mortenson of Vista, California..

Jack donated his body to science at Washington University, St. Louis.
